J.S.

You said I never wrote a poem about you

And for a moment I felt guilty

Until I realized you must not have been listening to my poetry

And how it is my deepest wounds

Disguised as catharticism

I felt guilty, until I remembered

You criticized my poetry for not rhyming

Because it has to make it easier, right?

To hear about my trauma

When I carefully choose each word and make it fun for you

"You've never written a poem about me"

Means "I deserve to be recognized

As a reason for your hurt"

Means "where are the pretty words that describe my  hurting you?

Means "and why haven't you gotten over it yet?"
