Taking Up Space

My eyes are stargazers

Staring into the mirror

At skin pale like a white dwarf

At freckles placed like constellations

At hair dark as a black hole

That could swallow you up

If you’d ever have the mind

To run your fingers through it

I admire myself like heavenly body

Like the neverending storm of Jupiter

Like the oceans of Neptune

Like the craters of the moon

I am imperfectly perfect

In my own cosmic way

And I am begging for you

To explore me
