Flush

I’d been swept away

In a flush of great

Overwhelm

I watched helplessly

As the water erased my words

And aspirations

I found myself

Washed up

With flooded mind

But when I looked around,

I noticed the seaglass shore

And the beauty of every color

What a lovely place

To have found myself in

Despite the journey there

Each piece, jagged or smooth

An inspiration

A new aspiration

So I decided to make home

Upon that seaglass shore

And make friends with the water

Every day, a little bit brighter

With that rainbow refraction

And kaleidoscope vision
